Heated gloves as a gift for someone who is always cold
Everyone knows someone who is always cold: first to reach for a sweater, last to want to leave the car, hands like ice on the sideline. Heated gloves are one of the few gifts that answer that directly and get used all winter.
Before you buy, there are a few practical things worth settling, especially size and timing. This page goes through them.
Updated · Specifications are the maker's own. Where the maker gives no figure, we say so.

Why heated gloves make a good gift for the always-cold
Most gifts for people who feel the cold are passive: a thicker scarf, warmer socks, a blanket. They help hold in warmth. Heated gloves add it, at the press of a button, which is why they tend to get noticed.
They also fit into everyday life rather than a single hobby: the commute, the dog walk, the school run, the game on Saturday. And because they are rechargeable, there is nothing for the person to keep buying, unlike hand-warmer packets.
Settle the size first
Gloves are harder to buy as a gift than a scarf, because fit matters. Heated gloves are even more fit-sensitive, since the heat only warms where the glove touches the hand.
Our gloves come in one size, L, and the maker gives no hand measurements. Before you buy for someone else, think honestly about their hands. If they usually wear a small or medium glove, these may be too big. If you are unsure, email [email protected] before you order and we will help where we can. See our returns page for how returns work before you buy.
Plan around delivery time
Our gloves ship from China. The carrier estimate is 5 to 11 days in transit after dispatch, plus a short processing time before dispatch, and you get a tracking number when they ship.
If you are buying for a birthday or the holidays, order well ahead of the date. We will not promise delivery by a particular day, because the carrier sets the transit time, not us.
One for them, one for you
Gifts for the always-cold often turn into a pair: one for them, and one for the person standing next to them in the cold. That is why we offer two pairs together.
One pair is $59.99. Two pairs are $104.99, and US shipping is free on orders of $69 or more. You can also add our rechargeable hand warmer ($19.99) to the same order as a small extra for a coat pocket.
What to tell them when they open it
A heated glove is easy to use, but a short note helps the first outing go well:
- Charge both power packs fully before the first use.
- Tuck one pack into the zip pocket on each cuff and clip it in.
- Press the button on the back of the hand to start the heat, and press again to change between the three settings.
- The thumb and index finger work on a phone screen.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth after taking the packs out. Do not machine wash.
One more honest point for the note: the maker does not publish a run time, so it is worth trying them on a short outing first to learn how long the heat lasts on each setting. Our guide to how heated gloves work has more on getting the most from them.
Is this the right gift?
Heated gloves suit someone who spends time outside in dry cold most days. They are less suited to someone who needs a waterproof glove for snow or water, or a slim glove for fine work. If you are weighing them against a simpler gift, our page on whether heated gloves are worth it may help.
